Screenpipe can keep meeting transcription and summaries on your computer with local models. Fireflies offers cloud meeting notes, collaboration, and CRM integrations, with bot and botless capture options. The relevant privacy difference is where processing happens.

Comparison

Private storage and local AI are different

Fireflies has private storage options and enterprise controls. Check where transcription and summaries run as well as where recordings are stored. A private storage bucket alone does not move that processing onto your laptop. For Screenpipe, follow private meeting notes to choose local transcription and a local summary model, disable external processing and exports for that workflow, and verify a short offline sample. Cloud models and connected apps can send context off-device. Local model performance depends on your hardware and the task; hosted plans have their own usage limits.

Choose based on the workflow

Fireflies may fit a team that wants shared meeting notes, conversation analytics, and native CRM sync. Consider Screenpipe if you need processing on your own computer, access to the source code, or screen history beyond meetings. Follow recording and consent requirements with either tool.
